Editors'
Note
So far, this
is an extremely limited list of great
info-shops across America. Hopefully
this site will grow and grow and
become a resource for anyone
interested in this stuff.

This is a small
independent music store just east of
the main downtown sector. The owner,
Rod Bryan, is running for Governor of
Arkansas 2006 as an Independent. When
I walked in, the guy behind the
counter was extremely friendly and
helpful, telling me all about Little
Rock, and the cool places to go for
fun and good music. He also gave me
as many free zines/magazines as he
could find. There's a great local
comic strip artist named Danny Baskin
who sells stuff there. Since I was
extremely low on cash, I couldn't buy
his comic book, but I'm kicking
myself now that I just didn't suck in
my gut and spend the money.

Supposedly a music
venue/coffee shop/zine
library/bookstore. However, I walked
into town around 2:00 pm on a Friday
afternoon and there were no signs of
life: the gate was pulled down; no
windows to peek into; no flyers or
other markers of venue. I went back
Friday night at around midnight,
still nothing. I walked by Saturday
afternoon and still nothing. Everyone
I asked claimed that it was hopping,
so I think I may have just been in
Little Rock on a bad weekend. If
you're in town, its definately worth
checking out.

Right next door to
Anthropop. If you're looking for a
slice, some pop, or some beer, and
can't stand those trendy places along
the river market, this place is for
you. Nice, local, neighborhood bar
without all the phonies and
meat-market types.
